Welcome, IComLeavWe-ers!
This is my first ICLW since I started blogging and met all you wonderful and strong women. I am beyond excited that it happened to fall on my bed-rest-after-transfer days so I can be an extra good commenter (and because, DAMN, I am bored!).
Quick Rundown:
I am a stay at home mom to a preschooler. She was a snap to conceive, carry, deliver.
Since then, many miscarriages have ensued. Failed IUI's. I've also had to have my fallopian tubes removed which leaves us with the grand prize of IVF as our only option.
Began IVF #1 (after being delayed 3 times), responded well, and had my five day transfer of the above pictured cutest embryos ever. :) I am biased a bit. I also have super-duper fun OHSS and look 6 months pregnant.
I am a worry-wort and tend to ruminate, over-think and obsess. Obsession of the day: I want my OHSS to go away because I look and feel awful... but if it goes away, is that a bad sign on the pregnancy front?
If anyone has had OHSS please share your experience here! Happy ICLW Week! :)

Thanks for the message. I am looking forward to following your journey. I hope your two embryos remain comfortable inside you for 9 months! I am a worryer like you but I think if I was you, I would have transfered two as well! Enjoy IComLeavWe, its good fun! Nic
ReplyDeleteWow! Good news all around with this cycle! I am so happy things are going well. I am hoping you get to see both your embies in 9 months. You make IVF look easy. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't there always something to worry about? Why is that?
Good luck! Enjoy your bedrest.
I think that one of the extra-special things about IF is that we're almost always rooting FOR the unpleasant physical symptoms. I hope your OHSS feels good enough to manage -- but not too good! ;)
ReplyDeletehey. found you from ashley at only God knows when. wanted to say you sound alot like a friend of mine. easy conception and birth of first child. then had problems with #2 and had to have her tubes removed. she got pregnant on IVF and is about to celebrate her son's 1st birthday. so hang in there.
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best of luck that your sweet little Blasts stick. :) I am really hoping that your OHSS goes away soon.
ReplyDeletePraying that you get your sticky BFP very soon.
ReplyDeleteYay for you on such great embies! If you haven't already, visit Shaz at "The Not So Secret Life of Us" -- she is in the exact same boat you are right now.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon!
Hugs,
Jo
yeah for great embies!!!! Good luck, hope the 2ww isn't too long!

Stick Blasties! I absolutely love to follow IVF stories. I am adding you to my blogroll! good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. My stage 2 OHSS symptoms have been pretty much gone, aside for the occassional ovary twinge, since Friday. Now I'm desperate for the symptoms to return so that I can have some reassurance that the IVF has worked. Having said that, my RE did tell me that OHSS symptoms only return in about 50% of cases so its not a bad thing if they don't return, but still, the pain offers some reassurance!
ReplyDeleteBed rest can suck but then again its cause you're pregnant!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sending lots of prayers and sticky baby dust your way. Here's hoping those little embies get comfy and decide to stick around for a while!

Hopefully this 2ww goes by quick for you!! Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteICLW : )
I don't have any advice for OHSS, but bed rest AND something to do on the internet sounds good. Congrats on being pregnant until proven otherwise, those are beautiful embies.

those are pretty looking blasts :) I'm sending loads of warm sticky vibes your way and I hope the 2ww goes smooth.

Good luck with your two beautiful embies! My fingers are crossed for you!

Carrie, I'm rooting for those 2 gorgeous embies to stay put. I hope your OHSS subsides, and that you start getting pg symptoms to obsess over. ;-)
ReplyDeleteNot wicked pg symptoms or anything, just enough to get the constant reassurance you need that you're still pregnant.
Thank you for stopping by my blog. Your comments always cheer me up. Not least of which was yesterday's very funny "Enjoy the leftover Versed. You've earned it." comment. That one totally made my day.
